It is all very well saying that it is good raising from institutional investors, the fact is parts of BOD and staff have taken about half of this placement and small holders have now seen another 183m shares issued. (Doubt if they would have been game to give a bigger discount given associated parties involved)
Obviously a planned move given Res 4 at AGM.
It is also probably true they may have had trouble raising much from retail holders given recent history however I would have thought retail holders could have at least been offered the courtesy given the large chunk now taken by CEO and his mates............. A retail offer in conjunction with an institutional placement is fairly common and gives more confidence to small holders to participate in situations like this.
"What's good for the goose......" springs to mind.
The other issue with this is, unless I am mistaken, this placement will take C2V ownership to around 22% - just like that
Would have thought that would take more than a nod and a wink among themselves...........
