I believe the ASX allows you to write naked calls, obviously you would need to have the appropriate amount of funds in your account as this strategy would be considered high risk. I more conservative strategy would be to write covered calls against your physical share holding so you can pick up premium income in a period of sideways movement or in bear market!! Also acts as a hedge
