But when a crisis such as CC needs to be dealt with then most people form all religions would be prepared to work together.

In the same way if we were attacked by hostile aliens, former enemies would band together to defend earth.

I grew up in a small country town and on weekends we went to nearby towns to have some recreational fighting, but when the area was invaded by a bunch of bikies then the locals from all the towns got together and kicked them out.
