There is chatter about sustainability of current dividend quantum.
guys I wouldn't be buying ifl based on current dividend.
I am buying based on a look through current issue cycle.
the next couple of years could well see a drop in earnings. wIth a drop In eps dIvIde ds could well dtp accordIngly. dividend is 54c and eps is also 54c according to commsec.
so very little room to move.
If you buyIng logIc Is based only on current yIeld, If that dIvIvIdend drops, your buyIng thesIs wIll be wrong, and then you blame the company or the market.
