Post #36792091 by Pete 11 over at NKP has an observation about the share prices of companies falling as they approach success or are indeed successful. I have heard well informed comments about this from other sources as well and I agree with them.Sophisticated computer programs,algorithmic trading et al place the ordinary retail investor at a distinct disadvantage.We are sheep to be sheared I fear and are manipulated electronically via the sp and pyschologically via forums such as HC. Major players don't suffer the budgetary and financial constraints retail investors have and can take advantage of impatience and the vicissitudes of life us ordinary folk have to contend with.
We badly need a royal commission to look into the way our stock market is regulated-or not.Will we get it? I posted a request along these lines to my local Federal member[Labor] on her FB page. It stayed on the page for about 5 seconds before disappearing never to be seen again. Now let me think.What would that signify?
