I understand your frustration and I agree on some points here (mgmt. should not give unsupported expectations), however I don't think this is why it is some pressure on the SP, it is not bringing buyers but it is not exactly scaring the holders into selling.
IMO the selling pressure (which is really tiny but with this small float it matters), so the selling pressure is probably coming from the fact that holders need to get some cash to exercise the options; this is my view here.
