I think NAB made a loss of 40m on AMP and they sold SGB to make it look better. SGB was a jewel in their asset base and the unrealised p/l was already factored in so getting rid of AMP was the reason for the bounce.
I rkn this is got to be one of the most cynical moves a major has ever done. Mkt will see thru it pretty quick too.
