A welcomed announcement in seeing formalisation of FEED. Also exciting is expectation of FID being as early as mid 2019 (this being just 6 months away).
Woodside being appointed as operator comes as no surprise...FAR has been saying for months they expected it was likely (as a reminder FAR was likely to abstain from 'voting' on the operator, meaning the others would appoint WPL). This being said remember anyone can be appointed "operator" - much the same as you or I can manage our own rental property or "employ" a third party manager such as a real estate agent. The govt has approved WPL as operator (there is no reason they shouldn't), gov't has yet to approve them as an owner.
