The same article by Michael West appears in the SMH. It would appear the editor of the AGE article removed the following paragraph from Wests story, for the Melbourne audience:
"The most likely outcome is said to be a Deed of Company Arrangement under which ANZ agrees to, say, a 70 cents in the dollar payout for Opes' unsecured creditors in return for a release from litigation and a quick end to an ugly saga which could drag on for years."
ABN view: Ah...Melbourne establishment at work...editor of the Age with mates in the ANZ...ANZ a Melbourne institution...the judges, ASIC, ...probably all went to the same Melbourne private schools...or neighbours in Toorak...so much for independence and integrity...their all this together...like pigs in the trough
