I have a stupid question. If shorters are borrowing shares to sell who is buying these shares? then when they need to buy it back who is actually selling these shares?
I am thinking if none of us LT holders are actually selling, are the shorters just shorting among themselves and pushing the price down? then in theory some shorters are making money and others are losing money for this to work? am i missing out something here?
