Because of the strategic value of Mt Weld REE's, especially in military equipment, I do not think the FIRB will allow the take over of Mt Weld by Chinees or other unaligned interests. So a take over bids by foreign entities can be discounted in my view. But an Australian Company with 49.9% Chinese shareholding could be another matter.
