All I can say is thank goodness you were not involved in the decision making back in 2007 Janti. I have yet to find any company that has actually made any profits from their Chinese operations, let alone repatriated the profits back to shareholders.
Yes in Lynas' case you could leave the expected profits in Australia with a well constructed transfer pricing regime but you would still be facing the challenge of repatriating the purchase price of concentrate back to Oz. Good luck with that project.
