Yes the government should address the environment more than it does and it should do things that are achievable.
Stop dumping rubbish in rivers and the ocean
Grow more trees
Stop cutting trees down
Fine anyone who breaks the rule regarding pollution or dumping
Educate children about the planet that we live on that it is their responsibility to keep the place clean
Investigate the GW lobby as to who provides the money for it's campaigns to push power prices up and close down activity in Australia
Build new safe nuclear power plants, build some more coal plants, this will cut the price of power dramatically and enable manufacturing to start up again

Ther are lots of things the government should do to address the small percentage of GW and pollution that the people of Australia are responsible for because there is no way in hell that we can change the actions of Mother Nature

Building more nuclear plants will mean the coal can stay in the ground.

Forget the trees making any difference
They are already slowing down growth due to climate change.
