    I'm not sure you understood what I posted? Yes, you would expect cities to be cooler 100 years ago than they are today.

    Are you saying that you think the warming experienced over the last 100 years is entirely due to urbanisation? If so, thanks for the speculation but I think I'll believe the people who have studied the issue and quantified the effect to be much smaller than the overall warming.
