Peter’sbook “Zero to One” is a great read and provides useful tips (7)  on what makes a successfulstart-up.

Let’s applythis to Admedus

1.       Is the technology a breakthrough(X10 better) or merely incrementally better?

2.       Is the timing, right?

3.       Is the product unique or can it be easilycopied at a lower cost (e.g. by the Chinese)?

4.       Does AHZ have the right team ofpeople & leadership?

5.       Has AHZ built a distribution networkto get its product where it is needed?

6.       Will ANZ products still be around in10 years’ time or will they be superseded with new technology?

7.       Does AHZ have a big share of a nichemarket from which it can expand into other bigger markets with the sametechnology?

Unless you cananswer YES to at least 6 of the 7 questions above – this is not likely to be asuccessful company.
