Food.
Farmers need oil to prepare land for crops, to sow crops, to then havest that crop.
Truck companies need oil to truck these good from all over australia to factorys to process the food.
Factories need oil to run to process these foods
trucks again need oil to transport the food to the super market.
if you want bananas from QLD in Melbourne its got to be trucked. So I hope you like local produce only.
Clothes,
again lot of clothes are oil based, or manufactured with oil.. like wool, its farmed, need oil to supply food to feed the sheep to make the wool and look after the land it feeds from. oil is needed in factorys to manufacture the clothes.
we get our clothes from over seas because its cheap, but how to they get to us? shiped by sea via oil, then trucked to our shops with oil.
currently 60% of all oil is used in transport.
Then all your factories, cars everything, you need massive amounse of oil to mine for iron ore, and massive amounts of oil to convert iron ore into steel into cars.
everything you see and touch every day is only hear because of oil.
Most people dont really understand how big a part oil plays in everything..
