On the subject of migration, I moved to Oz 7 years ago with my family on a business visa, by which we had to meet certain stringent requirements within 2 years of moving here. This was very tough, but well worth it,as we are now Aussie citizens, in what is without a shadow of doubt, the best country in the world to live in. Many Aussies have not travelled and have absolutely NFI how good it is here, and are adament we should allow refugees to come in. The high living standards set in Oz must be maintained at all costs, and anyone wanting to move to Oz must go through the right channels, and ultimately have similar values and integrate into society. Lets hope this labour govt. does not go down a similar path to NZ & UK where the immigration doors were opened to just about anyone.
