the problem with those is it still needs massive amounts of oil to make..
like the oil sands, I saw a good doco on that, consuming massive amounts of oil to run all the mining equipment.
the other issue is how abundent is the output of these sources.. cane they produce the same energy as 84mil bbl a day of oil..
