    Make no mistake.

I'm not an advocate for drug taking. I reckon you can probably take drugs safely in moderation just like you can do many other things. The issue here is young people are making one bad or uniformed choice and losing their life. It is a terrible waste.

The reason testing is being suggested is because of the sheer number of kids taking drugs socially. This is a clear example that the war on drugs is not working.

I actually wouldn't like to see drugs legalized across the board as I reckon it could get worse. There are some countries experimenting with this but it's going to take years to find out the right solution.

What I would like to see however,  is drug addiction treated as a health issue as are many other vices.

On the other side of the coin I would like to see the ice epidemic treated as a national emergency and given all the attention it requires.

It's about time we grew up and addressed the issues rather than putting our heads in the sand.

Some of the responses on here are typical of the problem that we have in dealing with this situation.
