Hi there I have done a bit of research on Kevin Pattison
Herewith a summary of what I have gained third hand. I think it's all correct but subject to the fact that I have not spoken directly with him.
1. age Late fifties
2. Last major full time role was as CEO of MBAIS. Is still a director but non executive.
3. Has been in the broader insurance industry for 40 Years. Including working in the major states for a significant number of years.
4.Has experience on both the insurers and the broking sides.
5.The last major career position was a turnaround and then a developmental role which saw the company grow 5 fold. Operates nationally and built the strategic plan and implemented it. This was over a period of more than 5 years.
6. Also had roles at APIA , Suncorp and VERO.
7. Has had international experience as well.
8. Useless information: Has an interest in Bowls and is a member of board of Bowls Victoria.
Generally seems to have enough time to give to SEQ and that's important to me as many NED's are just there to fill chairs. Seems to have had a lot of "project styled career positions" I like that people who understand the task and can define the steps to get there and then the big one execute the steps.
I think he may well be the new non executive chair of MBAIS but they don't disclose that on their website so could not confirm that as the website is marketing and sales oriented. Too lazy to follow that lead -think I have enough to feel he could be good for us. Nothing that popped out and made me worried...
Personally seems to have the right mix of skills.
Have tried to get Anthony ones contact details still awaiting a return call from Sequoia on that.
