I totally agree with you. That's why I made a point about utility and consumer staples doing well in stressed environments.
I feel that you guys are taking my point out of context. I never said NXT won't do well in a stressed environment. Cloud space is almost a utility hybrid since companies commit to using it and are unlikely to drop it during a crisis.
My response was specifically to the OP who is of the impression that growth stocks do well in an economic downturn, when in fact the opposite is true.
