I don't know OEL, but one of main points about SAE is that they operate their own projects and have strong team out in California, which is very important. They have around 30,000 acres of light oil prospects which start to drill soon. Some of these are very high impact (ie $1 per share). There is a larger heavy oil project due to spud towards the end of the year. They have the cash and cash flow to finance their growth internally. However, it is a stock you really need to by and stick away for a year or so, rather than get excited about every new well or production announcement, which will simply do your head in. If you just sit on it, I believe you will make a lot of money out of Salinas.
