This is a ridiculous comment. It happens at every level of government, african, asian, western whatever where there is no accountability to the people who have elected them. And that is exactly the case in places where there is such a gap between rich and poor, have and have nots. Be thankful you live in a country where this is less prevalent due to true democracy and more political accountability. But just because it is far less prevalent and obvious in Western countries, doesn't mean we are immune.
