We seem to go through this every year. "Invasion Day" was the 18th Jan when the first fleet arrived in Cronulla. The problem with moving Australia Day to May is that is in late Autumn and so it would change the entire character of Australia Day.

Australia Day was chosen by the little people as their day and it should be up to the little people to change it.

If a bunch of morons want to lament Australia being brought into the modern world then let them. There is no need for them to impose their will on everyone else.
