this is what’s happening at fmg at the moment, we are paying $500 M to get other investors to leave and we are taking their share of the assets
Quite so. But you are paying them $500M. You just got rid of $500M of assets out of the company. You have done nothing!
Only makes sense if you have no use for the $500m to start off with.
All it tells me is that the Directors have no faith in their own ability to invest $500 to drive returns.
