    That may be what’s supposed to happen with “today’s” mortar but plenty of brick homes out there where the mortar cracks, this is actually becoming more common, normally thinner joints are less susceptible to cracking and generally stronger, this is maybe why the future is glue. Most if not all brick house’s have some form of cracking, just weather it’s cosmetic or something worse like poor mud mix, workmanship, drying soils, foundation issues etc  Are the glue joints being used by FBR susceptible to cracking ? I don’t know.
