The thing about hardliners is that they have no concept of reality. Anarchy or a second referendum - this may be where this is now headed.

The Brexit referendum was not won by hardliners, it was won by a broad and unique coalition of the disaffected, the elderly, city people, rural people - all sorts of people - and they came from both Left and Right of the political spectrum.

The Brexit hardliners are like fish sitting in a pool with a long hot summer ahead, and the water is evaporating fast. The way they are going, by the time this is over they will have gone from a narrow Brexit referendum win to in all likely-hood no Brexit at all.
That's like having your cake, then throwing it in the bin.

May has been steadfast in saying that Brexit must go ahead, but she should really throw in the towel and wash her hands of the whole thing. F*** the lot of them. She gets dumped on by all and sundry - all of them who want their ideal dream scenario to play out, with no realisation that some pragmatism must invariably come into the frame.
