I think the SP has moved due to a reason. (ie deal approaching is the hope). I also think the Company new that Glenn Whiddon wanted to clear stock and organised this to happen ASAP with minimal impact to the growth of the company and its share price.
It would have been far worse for a significant deal to be announced and for someone to slowly clear the stock and cap the share price.
Getting it over with is a good thing.
