The value of the 3.1 million users is currently untapped.
I'll give you an example.
A mate of mine has a dan murphys card.
They know from his history that he buys $15 sav blancs for the mrs and $25 pinots for himself.
Whenever they have specials on those varieties at that price point he gets an email.
And guess what? He buys.
So what happens when afterpay start using their data?
I.e. We know Mackum spends between $80 and $125 on dresses.
And then retailers want to use that data. So they pay a premium to afterpay to shoot out a message to a targeted audience that retailer X has a $280 dress on offer for $110.
Reckon it won't work?
Of course it will.
They just need time to build that bank of data. You see, banks know where people spend. But they have absolutely no idea what particular item is being bought.
