    Thanks for posting the article caramet. Clearly my analysis hasn't swayed you from a sell sentiment, though at least you haven't insulted us by actually trying to link the articles concerns directly to WAF.

    Security analysts are rightly concerned that the northern Sahel region is a no go for mining or exploration, something the company should have been aware of and actioned accordingly.  Quote from article is fair if not factually correct (I would argue the first Canadians were back packing tourists and that any white foreigner is a target, not just mining company employees).

    "A former senior member of Canada’s spy agency says the killing of Canadian citizen Kirk Woodman is a “shot fired” across the bow of other mining companies operating in West Africa – a region that could see exploration grind to a halt in the wake of his death".

    That region is part of the border lands against Mali and Niger that represent ethnic and religious tensions and violence, as we all know. A map taken from the linked article shows the "region" in question and tells a thousand words I won't bother repeating.
