Years ago I would ring managers and go to AGMs and investor briefings. While there were of course exceptions, I generally concluded it was a waste of time. Mostly received marketing spiel (often little changed from year to year) and if I pushed further a promise of a call back. This typically resulted in more marketing spiel. As a result I rarely bother these days.
