Forgive my ignorance as I have been overseas since August 07, but what on earth is taking the WA gov so long?

I recall there were some competing private ideas for rail and port which were held back to avoid excessive infrastructure construction that would be unavailable to other businesses which would require similar infrastructure.

Has there been any decision as to which/where the rail and ports will be built? If not, why not? I know the WA gov is really slow, but this is a major regional development waiting on an agreed plan from the WA gov.

Should we expect an announcement soon now that $21 billion has been allocated in the federal budget for building of infrastructure toe ease constraints on the mining and building industries?

I haven't been keeping my eye on iron ore miners lately, but I thought there was a swag of miners getting ready to start large projects in the midwest region, which will require this infrastructure and ENB's electricity. I would have thought the miners would have had enough power to get an answer, provide solutions, or negotiate an agreement with the WA gov.

Can somebody tell me what is the word on the street in WA?

Once the word is out, ENB is gonna move for sure!
