It's not really a case of ASIC not being able to stop it, I don't believe ASIC have made any attempt to stop it whatsoever. They would appear to be totally in denial even when provided with evidence.
Many blue chips are driven up for roughly a week or two only then to be pushed down for roughly the same time with the manipulators regularly creaming off huge profits at the turn of these short trends. They are milking huge profits out of a market that in general has not gone anywhere for over 10 years. This money has to be coming from somewhere and there is little doubt in my mind it's coming out of the pockets of us little suckers.
