These questions may seem a bit simple - but I have no idea how the mining industry operates - and certainly no concept of time lines. So, apologies up front.
I have been doing so light reading on the Southdown project and was after some information from those who have a longer experience with GRR than I do.
1) I noticed that the feasibility study was completed 7 years ago in 2012 so I presume that GRR has been looking for a strategic partner from that time. If that is the case, why is there such a lack of interest and why is it taking so long?
2) If started, the building of the slurry pipeline and activation of the mine itself will take a certain amount of time. Any ideas on what that period would look like - I presume we would be talking years?
Predictions are for the production at Southdown will dwarf the Savage river operations (4 fold) so I would think that Grange Resources would have this down as a priority but would also be looking around for the best option.
Any words of wisdom from this forum would be gratefully accepted.
