As for your other question, sadly it's impossible to answer without a large amount of speculation. While I agree with @cyw , LiveTiles is still a risky play and one must conduct their DD (Due Diligence) accordingly. My own belief is that given time, yes, Livetiles will go on to become a highly profitable business and reward its shareholders handsomely.
And while it's conceivable that Microsoft may acquire them in time, the flip side is is that it could all turn pear shaped very quickly. There are far safer investments out there if you're averse to risk.
