Maybe they extended the SPP because no-one in their right mind would buy shares at 15.5c when you can buy them online for 12.5c. Perhaps hardly anyone is taking them up. I wrote a letter to the CFO in December - no reply - asking why there was only one sentence in the SPP documents about why they were raising funds other than they needed it for increasing data storage at Sydney and Melbourne. No financial benefits mentioned. Actually no benefits mentioned full stop. In over 20 years of buying shares and participating in many SPP'S (but not this one) I have never seen such a brief statement as to the rationale and benefits of a company raising funds.
