280119CORE GROUP OF WELCOMES ABG INVESTORS

Former Bougainville Combatants who are members of the CORE Group that was formed to support the peace process today met with the new player in the mining industry on Bougainville Bougainville Advance Mining and pledged to work with investors that come though the ABG.
Speaking after the meeting, Chairman of the group, DONALD HAMAO said that whilst they support the interest of new players in the mining industry, they would also want the ABG to sort out the two companies that are already in Panguna and creating division amongst the Panguna landowners.
HAMAO said that the government needs to fix the mess at Panguna before it can invite others miners into the scene.He said Bougainville combatants want to see the end of these divisions in Panguna and are calling on the government to fix this problem quickly.
After their meeting with the investor, the members of the Core group are now trying to meet with the President of the ABG.
