People don't grow their superannuation to take pressure off the pension scheme willial they grow it because it pays them a lot more than the pension would. And many of the people you are talking about claim a part pension anyway so will still get their franking credits refunded. Only those with no pension income at all, in other words non taxpaying wealthy retirees will no longer be refunded franking credits under Labor policy. IMO nobody should be refunded tax they never paid but I suppose Labor can not risk getting too many of their retired supporters offside just before an election. Dave R.
