The WiFi application relates to the dome added to the top of the fuselage, used for the internet link to the outside world. It likely also houses most of the WiFi hardware that is used for local connection of passengers devices, hence why they are referring to it as the WiFi application.
This structure requires a large amount of testing to ensure it isn't compromising the structure of the aircraft.
Add CVM sensors to this and it will be as simple as plugging in the CVM PM testing handset.
