A wise move. Austrlaia's immigration policy has been too strict.

With our land mass and abundance of natural resources (relative to almost all other countries), we should have far more immigrants.

'Opening the doors' to skilled migrants will also ease wage pressures and lower inflation.

We are lucky, Australia is a very un-populated country.

We can manage an increased population more then any other country...bar none


Peter Costello was one who campagined tirelessly for a much larer population citing the economic benefits (ie, scale; size; power etc etc)
