There has been quite a shift in sentiment towards Chris Scott over the last week after his comments in a recent media write up about OCV now looking like S8...lean and mean.
Also in the article was about Chris talking of generating new income revenue.
I cant think of a better person to be handling this situation.
He is obviously not your slipper lipped flashy Michael King / Peacock type....just gets down to sorting problems and running a solid ship.
He is our skipper.
Over the last 2 weeks though he copped a lot of bad sentiment over his decision to give Wellington the 'option' to manage the funds side of the business.
We only get information dribbled to us and usually we are at the end of the line hearing things but I think we all need to understand something pretty big.
King, Adams and Peacock did do a lot of strange things. Kings probably did them...Adamns probably agreed and Peacock unknowingly signed off on them.
MFS was almost an unrecoverable mess. Chris jumped in....he has a strong financial interest in sorting this we know....but its a massive job and he is the captain of the OCV ship.
In time we will know a lot more of what happened and whats recently happened...why the wellington deal etc.
All in good time. Hard for us holding OCV shares or the PIF people to sit and wait but the previous MFS board really did create a mess.
The new board is cleaning it up. I am behind them.....we just to need to give them some breathing space to get on top of everything.
