Keep an eye (watering or otherwise) on TVS CAPITAL FUNDS of India. It's a private equity offshoot of PIL's motor bike supplier with a penchant for investment in financial service businesses. They already have three banks and two securities exchanges in their portfolio.
Their first invest outside India may not be too far away....
