My understanding is many companies went searching for new materials trying to find alternatives to silicon because of the limits of moores law had been reached. This was what Professor James Tour cracked
and Weebit is writing a new chapter that can overtake moores law. Professor James Tour also created graphine from coal called Graphine Quantum Dotz GQD
that is a much cheaper material than graphine in its natural state. A good future candidate for memory and processors.
If you look far enough back through Dotz Nano DTZ they mentioned how compatible this would be for memory.
