I don’t have a problem with paying taxes. I have a problem with continual rises in tax when half the country doesn’t pay any tax. France had to relax it’s overtaxing as all of the wealthy left. It did not work, and I fear we will head down that road. France is about to have a lower effective tax rate than us now.
You can’t tax your way to prosperity in a globalised economy, we are highly inefficient due to it among other things. Without mining Australia would be a total basket case.
