Auto dealers don't make demand on anything. They offer what the auto makers produce. The buyer decide whether to pay or not. New ICE vehicles sales are falling while EVs are increasing. The auto makers are planning to produce what buyers want. An EV with longer range at an affordable price.
People want to switch to solar panels with homes energy storages and power appliances that doesn't require a cord.
If technology advancements are used to increase lithium production, that would be due to demand. When there is enough lithium battery storages for everyone, that would be great. The current methods of production and investments are not there to produce enough for everyone. Not in the next five years. Where is the demand destruction? Capacity and actual production is not the same. Anyone with information as to who are producing the oversupply, do post the company name and their production numbers.
