Going through data and a current top 20 which is attached below, im now convinced that Goldman Sachs are building a good position. Post the CR last oct/nov, Goldman have accumulated 4 million shares. What i find interesting is that they dont appear on the latest top 20 holdings. HSBC Nominees have added 8 million post the CR. My bet is that Goldman shares are in HSBC noms account two. The HSBC noms account one is mostly The Capital Group. Its highly likely Goldman hold considerably more than the 4 mill they have bought on market post CR. I would say they participated in the CR and are one of the four Instos that got a slice. This HSBC nominee account two, got 19 mill in the CR and now has 28 mill. Pure speculation here, but at an educated guess, i reckon The Capital Group are working with Goldman here to build a substancial position. The 1.7 mill that Goldman picked up last tuesday was via all those CXXT cross trades we saw. Clearly an organised trade which came from The Capital Group. Lets see how this plays out, but im betting that Goldman hold way more than the 4 mill that they have bought post CR.
