Stallion, I am a "noobie" to SPP too, but as far as I can tell the answer to your question seems to be based on logic. If you don't have the capital, sell out of TMR or another share or pawn your wife's jewellery... but I cannot personally see any reason why someone wouldn't take this opportunity... I am interested to hear if anyone isn't taking up their full allotment and the reasoning behind this.
If you are considering selling out then your judgement should be based on the same logic as every other share, is it more likely to go up or down, and if up, would your money be more profitable somewhere else? All it will be is more shares with a worth of market value. The reason people sold out before hand is because they didn't have the capital, or didn't wish to own more TMR shares for whatever reason, so made a bit of profit out of it.
"Was just wondering how you can sell the placement shares when they only get issued after the offer has closed?"
You can sell out of any TMR share whenever you want. The placement share will fill the void.
Here is my brief rundown IMO of the SPP takerupperers:
1. Sellers that sold out early for any amount of profit.
These have been done with now, and thus a lot of sellers from this have already been accounted for.
2. Sellers waiting as long as possible or until a great ann to try and gamble for a higher profit
I still believe these are holding the SP back IMO, today being a good example, many profittakers from the good ann forces price back down. Almost over now. As I previously stated in another thread, when the SP was at 12c, the advantage SH had over non SH was 4% and the option of time. The advantage of time turned out to be significant.
3. Sellers with the free capital who now hold $5000 (well probably close to 6k now) more than they desire.
These sellers have the luxury of selling out this 5k without the constraint of a timeframe, but will be selling out for profit in the future. As another poster stated, SP will encounter some resistance in the future from these sellers.
4. Non-sellers.
Er... good job non-sellers!
While I believe the SP will encounter some resistance from 3. for a little while, I personally believe 1 and 2 are really holding back the SP atm. SP was 13.5 before SPP ann. Today reached 15.5 before more of 2 IMO. Also, stockmarket has been doing great, but hasn't yet been reflected in TMR due to A. bad quarterly and B. now SPP, as evidenced by another poster's graph previously. So IMO the SP will do well as the absence of 1 and 2 will overcome those selling at 3.
Don't know enough about magnetite to comment.
Just my personal thoughts. Congratulations SH, with hopefully more gains to come now SPP time is almost over.
