What I am finding really annoying with all these litigators is that once you tell them you have already spoken to another firm (but without having formally signed) they seem unwilling to make their position clear (esp in relation to fees, etc).
Now I can understand that confidentiallity is important in these circumstances but how how is one to make an informed choice when you can't some pretty fundamental facts? Are you supposed to deny you have contacted another office just so you get information? That can't be encouraged surely.
Seems like a case of being stuck between a rock (ANZ) and a hard place (lawyers).
