Grahod The answer is most probably that they wouldn't ... I accept what you're saying to be true. But that is not the question to which we need to know the answer ... hasn't Isaac Newton already provided that answer?. The question is 'how did the rock begin to fall in the first place'? NIST is not trying to answer this question, they are beginning and ending with a set premise that it was the plane combined with the burning of the fuel. This is what is in dispute unless I am really missing the point ... and just for once I will be bold enough to claim that I'm not. cheers marz
