The IAEA safety report revealed that theradioactivity of Phosphate deposits is up to 4.8 Bq/g of Uranium-238 and upto 4.8 Bq/g of Radium-226
.
In radiation safety, weshould always consider the worst case scenario i.e. the highest level of activity of a radionuclide.

For example if the AVERAGEannual temperature of our bedroom is a very pleasant 20 degrees C, and if onlyonce a year the temperature is a killing 250 degrees C, we cannot say that theroom is perfectly safe….IT IS THE HIGHEST TEMPERATURE THAT KILLS and NOT THEAVERAGE.
